OnePlus announces OnePlus 9R in India

OnePlus has concluded the launch event of the OnePlus 9 global series by announcing the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus Watch, and, along with these three devices, it has also launched the affordable OnePlus 9R in the Indian market.

OnePlus offers the new OnePlus 9R as an affordable gaming phone for the Indian market.

The device features the design of the other two phones in the OnePlus 9 lineup, with a rectangular camera at the back and a perforated screen in the foreground, however, the device does not offer the same design quality as its premium siblings.

Instead of Gorilla Glass 5, The OnePlus 9R features a polycarbonate back with a matte finish and doesn't come with an IP rating to resist dust and water.

If the OnePlus 9R sounds familiar, it's a reworked OnePlus 8T with a snapdragon 870 chip and redesigned camera.

The processor is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and ufs 3.1 storage up to 256GB.

The device also features an enhanced cooling system, onePlus's new Pro Gaming mode, immersive touch feedback, and dual stereo speakers to enhance the gaming experience.

Despite its price, the OnePlus 9R features a quad-cam at the back, including a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor lens with OIS, a 16-megapixel wide-angle Sony IMX481 sensor lens with a 123-degree view, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome lens.

At the front is a 16MP camera, and when you talk about the screen, the OnePlus 9R features a 6.55-inch AMOLED screen with a 2400×1080 pixel resolution updated at 120 Hz.

The device is powered by a 4,500 mAh battery that supports 65-watt fast wire charging with the attached charger.

The phone is exclusively for the Indian market and will be available for initial order in early April, with a price tag of $550 for the 8/128GB version and $605 for the 12/256GB version.
