Many news websites offer notifications for the content you post, and that's what you see when you first visit a site, where you'll often see a pop-up that asks you to sign up to show you notifications, sometimes these notifications can be useful for keeping you updated, but sometimes they turn out to be very annoying.

If you're using Chrome browser on your phone to browse the web, you can disable website notifications and pop-ups to subscribe to notifications from the Settings menu, and to do so, follow these steps:

  • Open the Chrome app on your phone.
  • On the home page, press the three points at the top right.
  • From the menu that appears to you, click on settings.
  • Scroll down, then click on the Notifications section.
  • Uncheck the box next to the website you want to disable their notifications.
  • Repeat these steps for all websites you want to unsubscribe from.

If you want to completely disable the website notifications feature, follow these steps:

  • Open the Google Chrome app on your phone.
  • On the home page, press the three points at the top right.
  • From the menu that appears to you, click on settings.
  • Scroll down, then click on the Sites section.
  • Switch the button next to the Show Notifications option to no play.
