Nokia announces Nokia 1.4 at €99


HMD Global, home to Nokia phones, has announced the launch of its latest Nokia 1.4 smartphone at a price of 99 euros.

The phone features a 6.51-inch edge-to-edge 1360×720 p.m. display and a 20:9 display ratio, approximately one inch larger than its Nokia 1.3 predecessors, the largest ever in the Nokia 1 series.

"As a father of two, I can talk about the challenges many families face in having to participate in many activities at home," said Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer and Vice President of North America at HMD Global.

"As these needs continue to grow, we wanted to create a reliable and enjoyable experience that truly benefits the whole family without adding any financial pressure to the family.

The 4,000 mAh battery, however, has no corresponding upgrade in charging speed, as it is still 5watts via MicroUSB and, as always, HMD Global promises a two-day battery life.

The new Phone works with the Android 10 Go version and is ready to go to Android 11 version Go next way, and sticking to the Go version is necessary where the device is powered by Qualcomm 215 chipset with four Cortex-A53 modules with a frequency of 1.3 GHz and agraphic processing unit Adreno 308.

The company provided the basic version of the phone with a random access memory of only 1GB and 16GB of internal storage space, but the top version includes 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

The device officially supports a microSD slot for cards with a capacity of 128GB, and the Go version of Android has excellent storage management tools.

The device includes a rear camera with an 8MP basic lens and a 2MP macro lens with the fingerprint reader installed below.

The phone relies on Google's processing algorithms in camera Go to upgrade the basic camera with features such as: Night Mode and Portrait Mode, and there is also a 5MP front camera.

The phone has two nano-SIM slots and LTE Cat connections. 4, in addition, there is Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2, plus GPS, and the 3.5mm headphone port can be used to listen to FM radio as well as your own songs.

Nokia 1.4 parental controls allow users to manage content downloaded from the Google Play Store and give adults peace of mind to allow children to listen, learn or play.
