How to use Find My AirPods to find your missing speakers

Apple's Find My AirPods let you find the AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max, lost using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Here's how to use Find My AirPods to find lost earphones:

Find My AirPods isn't as powerful as Find My iPhone, for example: AirPods must be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth so you can find them, but they can still be very useful if you lose your Apple Tv or wireless headset.

This means that if AirPods are too far from the iPhone, you won't get their exact location on the map, yet you can get an idea of where they are, and to do so, follow the following steps:
First: How to find AirPods on your iPhone or iPad:

  • It belongs to (settings) in your iPhone or iPad.
  • Click on Find My.
  • Click on the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click on the name of your AirPods headset.
  • You'll see a map showing the location of the AirPods headset.

Second: How to find the speakers using a Mac computer:

  • Open the web browser on your Mac computer.
  • Go: icloud.com/find, then sign in with your Apple ID.
  • Click on the All Devices tab.
  • Press the lost AirPods.
  • On the map that shows you, you can find out where you lost your AirPods.

Third: How to find only one headset:

If your AirPods or AirPods Pro are separated from each other, you'll only see the location of one headset at a time on the map, and then after you find one of the speakers you saw on the map, put it in the charging box, and then update the map again to find the other one.
Fourth: How to play audio to find the missing speakers:

If your AirPods or AirPods Pro are close to any Apple device and connected via Bluetooth, you can turn on audio to help you find it or find the missing speaker if you find the other, whether via iCloud.com on a Mac, find My app on your iPhone or iPad.

While the sound from AirPods may not be too loud, it may be high enough to help you locate it, especially if you're in a relatively quiet environment, noting that wireless earphones must be outside their charging box and connected to your iPhone or iPad at the same time, and to do so, follow the following steps:

  • Go to (Settings) on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Click on Find My.
  • Click on the Devices tab at the bottom of the screen.
  • Click on the name of the missing AirPods in the menu if you have multiple connected devices.
  • In the pop-up that appears to you, press the missing left or right speaker, then press the Play Sound option in the middle.

Note: Avoid putting the headset you found— if you've found it previously — in your ear before playing the sound.

Points to pay attention to while searching for lost AirPods:

  • If your AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max headset are out of search or need charging, you may only see their last known location, or you'll see the words "No location found" or (offline) Offline.
  • You can see the location of the AirPods Max on the map for up to 18 hours if it's inside the smart charging case, and when you're outside the clipboard you can see its location for 72 hours.
  • If you see my words (no location found), or (offline), you can't turn on the audio feature to find the lost wireless speakers or headset, but you may be able to get directions for the last location you were in, and if they're connected back to the Internet, you'll receive a notification on your device you're using.
  • the only way you can find or locate your lost speakers, and no other Apple service can find, track or refer to your speakers in any other way.
