Lenovo announces IdeaPad 5G, 5 Pro, and 5i Pro

 


 

Chinese technology giant Lenovo unveiled the new range of Its IdeaPad laptops at CES 2021, along with Lenovo Tab P11, Lavie Mini, Lavie Mini PC, and Yoga 7 AIO PC.

The company has equipped these new laptops with the latest Intel Core 11th-generation processors, the new AMD Ryzen 5000 mobile chipset, and Alexa's new and improved voice assistant experience.

Lenovo has three new models this year, including IdeaPad 5G, IdeaPad 5 Pro, and
IdeaPad 5i Pro.

Lenovo IdeaPad 5G:


Featuring 5G connectivity, this 14-inch laptop aims to provide next-generation connectivity to users who are always on the move and need fast and stable connectivity at all times.

This is also one of Lenovo's first laptops to use the snapdragon 8cx 5G computing platform, which also includes Adreno 680 graphics and snapdragon X55 Modem-RF connectivity.

The 14-inch IPS display and 1920×1080 pixel resolution provide 300-candle brightness with sRGB coverage.

The laptop has up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of PCIe SSD storage space.

Lenovo also offers the same laptop as a supporting model for 4G/LTE connectivity and powered by a snapdragon 8c computing platform.

Other features include a comfortable IdeaPad keyboard, user-friendly fanless speakers with improved design with Dolby Audio, and dual microphones to improve performance while making video or audio calls online.

The laptop also offers instant playback that lets you instantly turn on your laptop and sign in with Windows Hello via an IR camera.

The notebook weighs about 1.2 kg, and a 51-watt battery can be quickly charged using Charge Rapid Express technology via USB Type-C.

 IdeaPad 5 Pro and IdeaPad 5i Pro:

These computers are available in sizes of 14 and 16 inches, and while the IdeaPad 5 Pro series is introduced with the latest RYzen 5000 AMD processors for mobile devices, IdeaPad 5i contains 11th-generation Intel Core processors.

The 2021 series of new IdeaPad computers adopt a 16:10 display ratio, and other common features include Wi-Fi 6, and the TÜV Rheinland display certificate with Eye Care Technology to reduce blue light.

There's also an infrared camera to sign in to Windows Hello, a larger trackpad, and flexible keys within the enhanced keyboard with optional backlight, Dolby Atmos, and resolution up to 2.8K.

Lenovo also offers quick shortcuts to control laptop performance by pressing Fn+Q keys as well as a new shortcut to switch screen update rates by pressing Fn+R.

IdeaPad 5i Pro can be configured with an 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processor, along with NVIDIA MX450 graphics, 16GB ram, and up to 1TB of SSD PCIe M.2 storage space.

The 14-in-2.8K model is presented with a 2.8K screen with an update rate of 90 Hz and 400 candles per square meter brightness, while the 16-in-2.5K model comes with a 2.5K screen with an update rate of 120 Hz and 350 pppings.

The 14-in-a-side model has a 56.5-watt battery, while the larger version has a 75-watt battery, both of which provide fast charging via Rapid Charge Express technology, and the 16-in-16-in-one model also offers Thunderbolt 4 technology with a single cable.

The IdeaPad 5 Pro is available with the new RYZen 5000 series of AMD processors, and the 14-inch version comes with the same design and features as the Intel model, including the NVIDIA MX450 GRAPHICS PROCESSING UNIT, 16GB RAM, AND UP To 1TB SSD PCI-E M.2.

The 16-inch version is offered with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 portable graphics processing units, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of SSD PCIe M.2 storage space.
