Interface improvements and new options


The third version of Apple's Video Clips creation app provides a better redesigned new interface to facilitate video recording and add effects to it, with horizontal or vertical shooting support, as well as the ability to drag the screen at the top to display stickers to customize videos, Apple said clips 3.0 adds eight new stickers perfect for social posts, plus six arrows and more shapes, as well as 25 audio clips that can be automatically tuned to match the length of the videos.

The new version of Clips also supports the recording of vertical and horizontal videos in multiple dimensions, which makes it suitable for shooting and producing videos suitable for Facebook and Instagram stories, in addition to supporting video recording for YouTube, with the update of all filters and stickers to support new sizes for recording, Apple said that the share screen now displays a preview of the video before sharing it. 

Better support for iPad devices


The new Apple Clips features also include better support for iPads, so videos can be created in the horizontal direction, taking full advantage of the keyboard, mouse connected to the device or trackpad, and supporting the new Scribble feature in iPadOS 14, so that handwritten text with Apple Pencil can be converted into written text.
HDR video recording support

The third version of Apple Clips supports capturing HDR videos using rear cameras on both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, with the ability to record HDR videos directly through the app or add photos and videos from the photo library, and video can then be shared directly through Dolby Vision HDR clips, ensuring richer colors and better contrast.
