Qualcomm officially announces its strongest processor in 2020

Qualcomm announced today, Wednesday, an updated version of its current processor (Snapdragon 865) Snapdragon 865 as (Snapdragon 865 Plus) Snapdragon 865 Plus, and is designed to boost performance by 10% for gaming applications and artificial intelligence.

There are three important improvements in (Snapdragon 865 Plus) compared to the standard version, namely: that the speed of the CPU frequency Kryo 585 CPU has been raised to 3.1 GHz, which is 10% higher compared to the speed of the speed (Snapdragon 865), and provide the graphics processing unit (Adreno 650) Adreno 650 GPU 10% higher performance as well.

The third improvement is the addition of Qualcomm's FastConnect 6900 support package, which says: It supports connecting to 6GHz Wi-Fi networks that have a speed of 3.6 Gbps, and the delay does not exceed 3 milliseconds.

Similar to the standard version of the processor, the new (Snapdragon 865 Plus) supports screens operating at 144 Hz. It supports Bluetooth 5.2.

Qualcomm was reported to have introduced an updated version of the Snapdragon 855 processor last year as (Snapdragon 855 Plus) as well, with improvements in the performance of the CPU and GPU.

As happened last year, the American company has maintained a fifth-generation network modem (Snapdragon X55) Snapdragon X55 separately from the processor, which requires more space inside the devices, and may affect battery life.

The new Snapdragon 865 Plus processor is expected to be seen in the leading smartphones running the Android operating system, especially gaming phones, such as the upcoming Asus ROG Phone III.

Qualcomm says: The first smartphones that will offer a processor (Snapdragon 865 Plus) will be officially announced during the third quarter of 2020.
